ArtMoney

ArtMoney is a cheating application that's compatible with almost any game.

Although a universal app that will let you cheat in any game you want sounds too good to be true, it's not... mostly. ArtMoney is a "memory editor", which means it can be used to change the same values that the game you're playing changes every time something happens. For example, when you get hit and lose health, that's a change in value. ArtMoney can change that value for you, or freeze it – and by its nature as a memory editor, it can do this with (almost) any game.

However, the nitty-gritty of the games you play may not be as easy to navigate as it might sound. To use ArtMoney, you first need to search for the values you're looking for, for example by their current amount or by their most recent change. And sometimes, this can be more difficult than it seems: what appears as five hearts on the screen could be a value of 1,000, with 200 points to each heart. Editing the wrong value can produce interesting or amusing results, but it can also crash a game or even your workstation.

Fortunately, it's very rare that editing the current memory of a game will damage your saved file, but it's important to be cautious when using ArtMoney and playing a game, such as Dungeons of Dredmor or another roguelike, that writes its data to different files periodically.

Overall, the attendant risks make ArtMoney a bit intimidating to use. If there are cheat codes already made for a game that do something you need (some of which may exist for ArtMoney itself, courtesy of other users), you should use those. But if you need something specific and the Internet doesn't have it, then ArtMoney is a powerful tool that will let you take matters into your own hands. Besides, it gets easier to use as you practice with it.
